Fresno Fire
Just a note to let all of you ladies know how thankful I am to have everyone who is so welcoming. It was definitely challenging moving to a brand new place, with a new job, new home, a new life, and only knowing a few people. It's a great feeling knowing that regardless of the day or time, there are always so many gals that are willing to be of assistance. THANK YOU!
The deal...
One of the most commonly asked questions: How did you and Russ meet?
And it is a very interesting story...
We actually met at my best friend's wedding 2 years ago. I was a bridesmaid in the wedding, and Russ was a the wedding. The theme of the wedding was completely Disney, so all of the bridesmaids were different Disney Charachters. With that being said, I was Tinkerbell. Bright green leotard, sparkles, slippers, wings and all! Before I flew out to California to be in the wedding, my best friend, Stephanie, told me there would be a lot of firemen there, since she was marrying a firefighter. And I had NO idea how I would pull of meeting one of them dressed as "Tink", but it happened, tink found her peter pan :) After the wedding, we talked for a couple weeks, but I still had to finish two years of school, and I would be finishing my schooling all the way across the country in Pennsylvania. So we lost touch, but last August, we met up again, and have been talking ever since. We are by far each other's biggest fans, no doubt.
After partaking in a long distance relationship for almost 6 months, we finally are able to be together, and it's the best thing that could have happened to us. We really learned, and learned fast, about each other, and how to make the most of the time we did spend together because we saw each other so little. But, we knew we wanted to make this work, and we were determined to do it! After graduation from school back east, I moved to Fresno and for once got to have Russ in my life, full time!
I LOVE it here, although I do miss my friends and family from Pennsylvania, life is great, and I am so thankful that "Russhly" came to be :)
